There has been a shooting
The Crown Heights community recently went forty (40) days without a single shooting inside the S.O.S. catchment area (Eastern Parkway to Atlantic, Kingston to Utica). Neighborhood residents can always stop and look at the sandwich board in front of our office on Kingston Avenue to see how many days we have gone. Unfortunately, that number is back down to three (3) as of today.
Early Sunday morning this past Memorial Day weekend, May 30, 2011, a person was shot and killed around 1650 Pacific Street (between Troy Avenue and Schenectady Avenue).
