S.O.S. Fish Fry and Community Discussion

On Friday, January 31st, the S.O.S. team held an impromptu community discussion and fish fry. Elders, teens, and young adults got together to have conversation, eat together and talk about violence in the neighrborhood, past and present.

42 residents of all different ages attended, and had a conversation centered around the question: "What is our responsibility as a community to end gun violence?" One of the main answers that surfaced from the discussion was that we all need to continue having conversations with one another, not just inside but outside the household.
