S.O.S. was on hand on Thursday, May 15th, to welcome State Senator Diane Savino and Assembly Member Alec Brook-Krasny when they visited Urban Neighborhood Services to announce a joint grant of $250,000 from the New York State Legislature to the Coney Island Anti-Violence Collaborative, a coalition of stakeholders in the Coney Island community.

A shout out also to the men of Step Up who take to the streets of Coney Island to engage with the neighborhood’s young men, encouraging them to stop the violence and offering to help them find alternatives to street life and gang life.
